Versa Gripps FIT Series: FT 525
These aren't really straps, but innovative grip enhancers that attach around your wrists with Velcro. With Versa Gripps, all you do is pull the rubber flap over and around the bar and grip the bar normally. The new and improved one-piece design molds between your hands and the bar, securely locking your grip in place during pulling exercises and protecting your hands like gloves during pushing exercises.
Versa Gripps are much easier to use than a traditional strap because just one wide piece of material grips the bar, rather than a long strap that you have to wrap around a number of times. The FIT series feature a shorter, tapered grip portion that is made for smaller hands and a more customized fit, including an innovative wrist support that was ergonomically designed to promote circulation to the hands while eliminating nerve damage.

IFBB Fitness Olympia Champion 1998 and IFBB Fitness Pro Athlete 2003-Current, Monica Brant-Peckham love FIT Gripps and says, "I was introduced to Versa Gripps while training for the IFBB Fitness Olympia 1998. I was training my back heavy and needed the extra grip and hold on the heavier weights... after just the first workout, I vowed I would never mess around with old-fashioned straps that take the extra time and patience in the gym! Now, Versa Gripps has come out with a new streamlined version called 'FIT Gripps.' They are a bit smaller and fit very nicely on my wrist! I don't leave home for a workout without them!"

"Power Gripps" Power Grips
IronmanSo you've lost another pair of straps. You probably left them on the pulldown machine or over by the deadlift platform and now you have to shell out $15 for a new pair. Before you go to the standard route, however, check out the new Power Gripps.
These aren't really straps but innovative grip enhancers that attach around your wrists with Velcro. You'll have a hard time losing these babies. They're also much easier to loop in place. No more winding, twisting and trying to swing your thumb around before everything loosens. With Power Gripps, all you do is pull the rubber flap over and around the bar and then grip the bar normally. The rubber flap, combined with the Velcro wrist strap, makes everything stay solid- no slipping- even if you're attacking superheavy pull-downs.
For pushing exercises the flap lies flat against your hand, which enhances your grip on pressing and curling movements and also lets you ditch your gloves. Power Gripps' rubber palm guards protect your skin without encasing your hand in a smelly cast. Your hands are free to breathe and are perfectly protected whether you're pushing or pulling. To be honest, when I saw the drawings that illustrate how to use Power Gripps, I was skeptical. Once I put them to the test, however, I was sold. This is truly and innovative product that locks your grip in place and helps you move heavy iron.
Pros: Comfortable, sturdy, hard-to-lose replacement for conventional straps and gloves.
Cons: Other gym members will keep interrupting your workout, asking where you got your Power Gripps.

"Wide-profile straps, like the Versa Gripps, are much easier to use than a traditional strap because just one wide piece of material grips the bar, rather than a long strap that you have to wrap around a number of times. PressAlso, traditional straps tend to cinch down on your wrist; the wide-profile straps give a broader displacement of tension throughout your hand and wrist."
